These Adult Shibas are NOT for sale. These are Breeding Dads and Moms.

Meet Our Parents
All Males and Females are AKC Registered and all have many champions in their extended pedigrees.
The dogs at Big Heart Shibas live a very nice life! They live in an air conditioned and heated kennel where they have their own spacious enclosure. Everyday our Shibas run, play, and explore in a large one acre fenced in play area with plenty of shade trees and things to do. They have a sand pit for digging (or taking a nap), play king of the mountain on a large mound of dirt (a favorite for ALL!), a bridge to play on or under, or play tug of war with one of their many toys scattered about. There are also children’s yard toys for them to jump on, go under or run through when playing tag, and a small wading pool for the ones that like to play in the water. Shibas are very energetic dogs, they love to run and they love to be out in the fresh air. During their play time the dogs can go in and out of the kennel as they wish. Our dogs and puppies get lots of TLC each and every day. Having happy, healthy Shiba parents helps to make happy and healthy Shiba puppies. We are so fortunate to have these wonderful dogs as part of our family

At Big Heart Shibas, we plan a few litters a year in the hopes of keeping one for ourselves. The rest of the litter is sold to show or companion homes. All puppies are spoken for before they are even conceived so do not be surprised to have to wait for a well bred Shiba as most breeders do not have them readily available, waiting around for homes.
We also believe that as breeders, we should always be available to the puppy buyer as a constant and continuing reference. We welcome questions about the breed and about development and training. We encourage the use of force-free training for our puppies. Our gentle methods of creating a well loved friend are easy to use and effective. We provide all puppy owners with current, accurate information on dog training based on canine biology, physiology and conditioning principles. It is up to you, the new owner to follow through with the puppy’s training by taking him to Socialization and/or Puppy Classes.
We take great pride in our dogs and breeding program and strive to very high standards. Nothing makes us prouder than when a new owner calls to tell us how impressed their vet is with their new puppy in how confident, healthy and friendly he is. We try to make each litter better than the last and above all, do no harm to the future of this amazing breed and consider ourselves a preservation breeder. We’re so proud of what we do for the next generation of the happy, healthy canine family.
